The plate depicts Santa asking two children for their Christmas wishes, and we see the many Christmas decorations hanging across the square. Behind Santa, we see the Stork Fountain, which was modelled by Vilhelm Bissen and inaugurated in 1894. Amager Square is situated at Stroget in Copenhagen, an international shopping street, where you can also find Royal Copenhagen. The square is to be found between Kongens Nytorv ( The king’s New Square ) and The Town Hall Square.
